A Member of the UK Creative Ideas Strategic Planning Board, Kurt has led operations in the UK and then the US offices of the .ART Domain Registry - bringing a new platform, new technologies, and online visibility for artists and art institutions.
As 9-year executive ICANN, the Internet’s technical coordinator, Kurt provided stability to finances, matured relationships with key stakeholders, and ensured consistency in the management of the Internet’s root zone. He is best known as the architect of ICANN’s program for making thousands of new web addresses globally available.
Prior to that, Kurt spent nearly a decade at Walt Disney Imagineering where, as Vice President, Engineering & Production, he was responsible for the technical design and delivery of theme park shows & rides worldwide.
Kurt holds a BS and MS in Physics, an MBA and a JD and is admitted to the California State Bar. He is published in technical journals and in law review.
